Lucy Graham

Narrative Designer and Writer

Hello! I'm Lucy, a narrative designer and writer based in the Midlands, UK.
With a masters degree in game development, alongside a history in film and marketing, I can provide a wide variety of writing and narrative experience from different industries.

Invisible String

Solo Game Developer

As the sole developer of Invisible String, I was the writer, narrative designer, game designer and artist on this project. I really enjoyed being able to see the world I had created come to life. On this project, I utilised YarnSpinner to give the game a branching storyline and multiple endings.

An adventure platformer following Dawn, a ghost with no recollection of her original life. She is approached by Oran, who insists they knew each other when they were alive. They work together to retrieve Dawns memories and unlock the secret to the afterlife.

Jenot

Narrative Designer / Writer

As narrative designer and writer on this project, I'm exploring tone of voice for a wide variety of characters that works for the time period, as well as a branching storyline depending on your interactions with them.

Jenot is a visual novel set in 1990's Warsaw, about a raccoon who sets up a food stand in a dumpster behind a restaurant.

DEADline

Narrative Designer / Writer

On this project, I was narrative designer and writer. I wrote the story based on my own experience with stalking while at university, and collaborated with the artist and programmer to ensure that the narrative design helped reflect how the main character and player should feel. The story is told through texts and emails.

A psychological horror that follows Marnie, a university student who's having trouble with a stalker. Survive 3 nights of terror, all while finishing your essay and finding different ways to protect yourself from a violent home invader.

Dome Courier

Narrative and Game Designer, 3D Artist

Made in 48 hours for Global Game Jam 2025, using the theme "Bubble" and the diversifiers "Y2K" and "Transit Transcendence". On this project, I was narrative designer, game designer and 3D artist. While my narrative work took a back seat to the other roles for this, I was able to rapidly craft a story and world that matched the theme and diversifiers.

In a world where each major city has been contained within it's own bubble, travel and information is highly restricted. You are a courier, tasked with taking one of the only trains that connects the cities to deliver some confidential information to a client from another dome. After sneaking on the train, you need to get from one end to the other without being caught by the guards.

Flowers / Anis

Solo Game Developer

During my Masters course, I have done rapid ideation sessions in a game jam style. For these sessions, I did narrative design, game design and programming.

Flowers is a platformer puzzle game about a baby deer searching for his parents after a hunter runs rampage in his home. Anis is an RPG following a young woman who delivers food to a local witch to stop her from kidnapping her baby and the local population of children.

Narrative and Documentary Films

Writer / Director

I have written and directed short films, both narrative and documentary. I have also written a treatment for a feature length animated film.

Copywriting

Social Media / MArketing

I have experience in copywriting for a wide variety of clients in fintech, retail, charity and employer branding on international social media and OOH campaigns, as well as running multiple social media accounts. This has given me an excellent grasp on tone of voice between clients and audiences and the ability to write concise, but entertaining copy.
